1. Who we are
Nautica Select Coldstore Limited is a Ghana-based business supplying frozen meat, chicken, and seafood. You can reach us at info@nauticaselect.com or 0242242953. Our address is Accra, Ghana.
2. What we collect and why
We collect only what we need to process your orders and run your account:
- Name, phone number, and email: to identify you, confirm orders, and send delivery updates. Email is optional.
- Password: stored as a one-way hash. We never see your actual password.
- Delivery address: so we deliver to the right place.
- Order history and saved cart: so you can track past orders and pick up where you left off.
- Payment records (when you pay online): the payment reference, amount, payment method (mobile money, card, or bank transfer), and the network or card brand used. We use these to match your payment to your order and to resolve any disputes. We do not receive or store your card number, mobile-money PIN, bank login, or any one-time codes. Those go directly to our payment processor.
We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how visitors use the site. No cookies are used for analytics, no personal data is collected, and visitors cannot be tracked across websites. The only cookie we use is a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising pixels or tracking cookies. We do not send marketing emails. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
3. Who we share with
We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with:
- Our hosting and database providers, who run the servers that store the site's data. Our database is hosted in the United States.
- Our email delivery provider, who sends order-confirmation emails if you provided an email address.
- Our payment processor (Paystack), when you choose to pay online. We share your email address, the amount, an order reference, and the order ID so they can collect the payment and match it back to your order. Paystack handles your card or mobile-money details directly. Those never reach our servers.
- Government or courts, only if required by Ghanaian law.
We do not share with any analytics provider, advertising network, or data broker.
4. How long we keep it
- Account data: kept until you delete your account.
- Order records: kept up to 7 years, as required by Ghana's tax laws. If you delete your account, we remove your name and contact details from the records but keep the order itself for the remainder of the retention period.
- Online payment records: kept alongside the order they belong to (up to 7 years), for tax and dispute-handling purposes.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any information that is wrong or out of date
- Delete your account. Email us at info@nauticaselect.com and we will remove your profile within 30 days.
- Object to how we use your data
- Complain to the Ghana Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.org.gh)
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a data breach that affects you, we will notify you and the Ghana Data Protection Commission as required by law. The site is not intended for anyone under 18.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when. If we make a significant change, we will try to notify registered customers before it takes effect.
